Chiron makes senior appointment

Reading, UK

As it prepares to unveil one of the most significant technology advances to-date in the IP-alarms field, according to Chiron - the introduction of IRIS Secure Apps, expected in February 2010 - Chiron Security Communications has confirmed the appointment of Kevin Swann as chief operating officer.

The company's founder, Ian Tredinnick, now becomes chief executive officer, while fellow director Mike Kennedy takes on the role of chief technical officer.

With more than 30 years in the industry, Kevin Swann joins Chiron from the global IP software and hardware sector where he has held a number of senior posts, most recently as business development director at Etherstack Ltd.

"This is a particularly exciting time to be joining Chiron as we are on the brink of major advances that will transform the sector," comments Mr Swann. "IRIS Secure Apps will be nothing short of a revolution for the way installers and ARCs work with IP-alarms - and it will raise the expectations of end-users to a whole new level,"
