Bold and Honeywell working in partnership for product collaboration

Bold Communications, a leading supplier of communications and management systems into alarm receiving centres and RVRCs, are now providing an IP network based alarm receiver, the Bold NetRX, for use with the Honeywell Galaxy Ethernet communicator.

The Bold NetRX is a dedicated alarm receiving application for the central station, developed in partnership with Honeywell, to receive alarm signalling from the Galaxy 8-512 & G3 ranges of control panels, over the IP Network.
Bold NetRX will provide Galaxy panel users with significant cost and time saving benefits associated with network-based systems. With the dedicated Bold NetRX system, end users can now utilise their existing networks for alarm transmission. This eliminates the need for expensive telephone lines and leads to a reduction in hardware and signalling time.
Using Bold NetRX, an alarm is generated if a monitored line is cut and the encrypted data will provide increased security of any information being transmitted on the network, without impeding network performance.
Managing Director, Brian Kelly says: "Developing products that provide the highest level of security together with control room efficiency underlies Bolds' ethos. A network-based alarm communications product such as Bold NetRX has proved to facilitate easier installation and maintenance of often-complicated and expensive systems.
We are delighted that by working closely with Honeywell we have developed a unique central station receiving solution that will allow uses of the Galaxy panels to fully utilise the benefits of monitoring over a network as opposed to third party intervention.
This is a good example of the way Bold always seeks to gain leverage for the customer through strong relationships with alarm panel manufacturers like Honeywell.
The Bold NetRX integrates with all existing Bold products and can be customised to fit with any existing network security. The company has already successfully completed a number of IP Network alarm signalling projects for both retailers and banks.
