APT Security Systems appoints new general manager
Stalybridge, Cheshire (UK)
Chris Rowlands started his career as a mechanical technician apprentice at British Aerospace Defence Ltd, from which he moved into project management, procurement, contract and export. This was followed by a senior buying position with Caradon Everest where Chris overhauled the methods of procurement. Most recently, Chris has been working for Smiths Detection as commercial manager then Smiths Detection Military as commercial director.
As general manager of APT Security Systems Chris is responsible for the company's complete range of proven security-based products, including the latest government-approved Surface Mounted blocker. Commenting on his recent appointment Chris said: "I have joined at an exciting time in light of APT's long-term growth strategy within the transport and traffic management sector, which has started off in the right direction with the recent acquisition of SignPost Solutions. I am fully aware of the pedigree which APT holds in the market and look forward to helping the company continue its growth."
