The Etrovision 8180F is an HDTV-quality camera with day/night function which is ideal for 24H video surveillance applications where sharper and greater image details are required. The camera supports full HD (5-megapixel) resolution at 30 fps.

Its 5-megapixel (2592×1944) resolution is in terms of coverage approximately 16.4 times of conventional VGA resolution (640×480). With H.264 main profile and progressive scan CMOS sensor, the EV8180F camera delivers flawless, clear, and smooth image quality with excellent colour performance. Up to 8 ROI (Region-of-Interest), independent multiple-stream, and H.264/MPEG-4/M-JPEG triple codec, these features enable the user to prioritise transmission of data within targeted areas (region of interest), to seperate transmission of each stream, and to minimize the network traffic while enhancing the overall efficiency. Furthermore, the large coverage of the 5 megapixel sensor with the ROI feature enables individual auto exposure control which substantially improves the image quality in complicated light environments.

The IVS function of the camera supports facial detection and capture for the identification of targeted individuals. It is used to analyse or manage a large numbers of objects (staff or products) entering an area or on a production line. The day / night function guarantees optimum performance under low-light circumstance, making the camera ideal for outdoor applications, such as in parking lots and residencial complexes.

The EV8180F is offered with PoE (Power-over-Ethernet); this feature provides a great saving and convenience without the need to run power cables on installation. And, it has an inbuilt 32G SDHC slot that supports long-time recording via local storage.
