Vanderbilt places great emphasis on the importance of designing a security system that fits end-user needs, and yet to be at the same time, simple to install and maintain, regardless of the access control experience. Building on this philosophy, after months of listening to what security installers expect from a complete access control system, Vanderbilt came up with a straightforward tool that allows users to select products compatible with the specifications of their system, delivering a calculated kit list that includes everything needed for the project. Moreover, the Kit List Builder Tool provides direct links to technical documents and the option to download additional assets, such as images.
Door controllers
It is essential to deploy the right access control products for the project for example in door entry systems, the ACT Pro access control systems are scalable from 1 to thousands of doors and can be configured using the customer's existing IP infrastructure, with either Ethernet ports at each door or RS485 wired communication between doors.
ACT Pro door controllers offer a highly flexible, scalable access control system designed to facilitate demanding requirements for any size of organisation. Ease of install and use are key features in the product design. To ensure ACT is easy to quote and install, both door controllers with and without onboard PSUs are available. Additionally the ACT Pro door stations facilitate expanding additional doors on the ACT Pro controller and connect to the ACT Pro controller via RS485. The IO Module described below allows the controller to be used in applications where signalling to other equipment is required.
ACT Pro IOM is an 8 Input/8 Output device that allows the ACT Pro controller to be used in applications where signalling to other equipment is required. All IOM Input/Output Module configurations are performed from ACT Pro. Examples of this are elevator control, alarm systems, CCTV switching, and general monitoring.
Card readers
There are a multitude of card readers available on the market, and sometimes it can be challenging to identify the system that best matches the client’s needs. With the Kit List Builder Tool serving also as an access control product finder (not only a system quotation tool), so users can also explore the compatible options for a specific project. There is also a Reader Compatibility Chart that shows which Vanderbilt systems are compatible with each reader type.
Security installers can also create and manage Bluetooth credentials independent of the access control system with V Credential, the cloud-based credential management platform.
ACT Pro is the role-based access control software suite for ACT Pro hardware. It streamlines the installation, management, and monitoring of the access control system. The rules mapping engine simplifies the management of alarm events and automated responses and actions, allowing control actions to be managed through an easy-to-use drag-and-drop interface.
