Tagmaster's Sensys Networks qualifies for Buy America

Stockholm, Sweden and Berkeley, Ca (USA)

Tagmaster's US subsidiary Sensys Networks has qualified under the Buy America requirements of the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. According to the company, this means that Tagmaster can take orders financed within the large infrastructure package that the US Congress decided on in November 2021.

Sensys Networks, based in Berkeley, California, has during the past year worked to bring all production home to the United States and switched over to local suppliers. The main aim has been to streamline the supply chains and thereby mitigate the global delivery problems that many technology companies have experienced in recent years and thereby reduce lead times significantly.

As all traffic detection equipment from Sensys Networks is now produced locally, the measures also mean that the company meets the latest Buy America requirements in the 2021 Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act and thus qualifies for federal funding through the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

“By localising most of our manufacturing, we are now much less susceptible to disruptions in the supply chain. The fact that we also qualify according to the tough Buy America requirements increases our potential on the American market," says Jonas Svensson, CEO, Tagmaster.

Sensys Networks' streamlined supply chains make the company's solutions and products more attractive to US road operators as it means shortened lead times, reduced planning uncertainty, improved inventory availability and potential access to federal Buy America funding.
