Paxton resumes in-person training

Brighton, UK

The security technology manufacturer Paxton has resumed face-to-face workshops at their Technology Centre in Brighton, with significant new measures to keep people safe. The training sessions can also be held at an installer’s own premises.

When the third UK national lockdown began, Paxton’s face-to-face training was put on pause. Since then, the company have been running virtual training to help support their installers through current projects. Paxton are continuing to run their virtual training, but from the 1st April 2021 installers have the choice to take part online or can attend the British manufacturer’s new Covid-safe in-person training programme.

Steve Woodbridge, Paxton’s Global Training Manager explains: “The aim of the training is to give security installers the knowledge to install, setup and maintain Paxton systems. Virtual training and tutorials are a great way to learn the systems, but nothing beats the opportunity to get hands-on experience with the equipment and see the latest updates to Net2 and Paxton10 in action”.

The workshops offer guidance on installing and using both Net2 access control and Paxton10, which combines access control with video management on one platform.

Steven Woodbridge continues: “We are seeing exciting projects from our installers. A demand in our products due to the pandemic means it is so important to adapt out training programme and keep installers up to date”.

To help those participating in the training keep as safe as possible, individual kits will be provided to each person taking part, with a limited number of installers able to attend each session. This is to ensure appropriate social distancing. Screen partitions will also be used by Paxton trainers and placed between each workspace.

Steve Woodbridge further explains: “We are working hard to provide an environment that adheres to the UK Government guidelines and allows installers to get hands on with our equipment without the risk of spreading the virus. All participants will be temperature checked upon arrival, and social distancing, as well as enhanced hygiene protocols will be implemented throughout the training. The aim is stay safe and brush up on your knowledge."
