The Detektor International Award was established by Detektor International magazine in 2000 and is one of the most well-known and prestigious product awards in the global security industry.
Multinational jury
The jury that nominates and votes for the winners consists of 7 editorial staff from the magazine Detektor International, who come from four different countries: Sweden (3), Great Britain (2), Denmark (1) and Taiwan (1).
"We want to reward innovative design and product development and highlight solutions that, with their usability, can provide great customer benefit", says Lennart Alexandrie, CEO of AR Media International and editor-in-chief and founder of Detektor magazine.
Four categories
The Detektor International Award is an international award divided into four categories, in each of which three products/solutions have been nominated:
• Alarm & Detection.
• ID & Access Control.
• Video Surveillance.
• IoT & Security Solutions
The first prize winner in each category is awarded the “Best Product Award” and the remaining two solutions each receive an “Innovative Achievement Award”.

Acre Via is an AI assistant designed to support security teams and enable operators to interact with the Acre Access Control (AAC) platform in a more natural and efficient way through generative AI. With Acre Via, operators can ask questions in natural language with text and get relevant insights faster. This means reports can be created and refined with less effort. For the operator, Acre Via simplifies the management of security systems and shortens the path to actionable information.
Product: Stid Architect II
Company: Stid Security, France
Stid Architect II is a modular and future-proof series of access control readers for secure identification. The readers support multiple identification technologies, including RFID, NFC, Bluetooth and digital credentials, and can be supplemented with biometrics, QR code and 125 kHz, for example. Thanks to the modular design and the possibility of updates, the system can be adapted to new security requirements and technologies without having to replace the entire reader.
Product: HID M1 Transparent Gateway
Company: HID Global, USA
The HID M1 Transparent Gateway is a security solution that enables existing access control systems to be upgraded to more secure communication without replacing the entire infrastructure. It acts as a gateway between readers and controllers and enables encrypted OSDP communication, reducing the risk of eavesdropping and manipulation. The HID M1 Transparent Gateway is installed between the existing OSDP controller and the card reader. All cryptographic operations are performed in a protected central unit instead of in the reader (transparent architecture). The solution is particularly useful for organisations that want to gradually modernise older access control installations.
