Forum partnership offers knowledge base on new UK legislation

Knutsford, Cheshire

Combining their market leading experience operating and securing open and public spaces, industry expert manufacturers Nedap Security Management, Cortech Developments and Geutebruck, will be co-hosting a free of charge knowledge sharing event to discuss the latest legislations, what that means for end-users operating in these spaces and the latest innovations and technologies available, across a broad range of advanced security solutions to enforce these changes.

With upcoming legislation changes to public venues and open spaces such as the Protect Duty, specialist security technology providers are hosting a knowledge sharing event for all end-users and specialist consultants looking to understand these changes and mitigate risks to open and public spaces.

The event is designed to offer practical support for those responsible for safety and/or security in the open and public spaces, including but not limited to venue operators, stadiums, councils, universities, police authorities and commercial companies. The free-of-charge day event will take place in October at the Honourable Artillery Company in London.

The event is set to offer information on best practices for managing pubic, semi-public and private spaces with the use of technology; the role of technology in risk management, risk based and proportionality mitigation measures; protect duty and the role technology must play.

These will be discussed by industry experts Nick Aldworth of Risk Resolutions, Mark Cavies of Optimise Asset Protection, and an expert panel, Alan Oliver Head of Security from Airbus and Chris Griffiths, Contact Centre Manager, Western Power Distribution.

During the event, delegates will be able to learn more about how effective risk management and mitigation, asset protection, regulatory compliance and cost reduction can be achieved via the use of innovative technologies; and there will be Q&A session at the end of the event with all members of the panel.
