Cortech gains Cyber Essential Certification for 2025

Knutsford, Cheshire

Cortech Developments has successfully achieved Cyber Essentials certification for another year.

Cyber Essentials is a UK government-backed scheme that helps organisations of all sizes protect themselves against a wide range of the most common cyber threats. The certification process involves a thorough assessment of key security controls, including boundary firewalls, secure configuration, access control, malware protection, and patch management.

According to the company, achieving this certification is particularly important for Cortech as they work extensively within high-security, mission-critical sectors, including utilities, custodial, healthcare, and data centres, where resilience, reliability, and trust are paramount.

“In the sectors we serve, cyber security isn’t a nice-to-have, it’s necessity,” said Jason Blundell, Head of Sales at Cortech Developments. “Achieving Cyber Essentials certification again this year demonstrates that we don’t just meet the minimum standards; we go above and beyond to ensure our systems and practices are secure, resilient, and aligned with industry expectations.”

The Cyber Essentials framework forms a key part of Cortech’s broader cyber strategy, which also includes secure-by-design development principles, robust internal training, and close collaboration with our Technical Partners and integration manufacturers to maintain end-to-end system integrity.

This continued certification helps to offer reassurance to customers and supply chain that Cortech takes cyber risks seriously and is committed to meeting regulatory expectations, especially as the threat landscape continues to evolve.

"We would like to thank our technical and operational teams for their efforts in maintaining the highest standards in cyber security. This certification reinforces our promise to deliver innovative, integrated solutions that not only enhance efficiency and site safety, but do so with security at the core," concluded Blundell.
