Addsecure has appointed Claes Ödman as new President of its Smart Transport business unit, effective immediately.  With a strong track record of driving change, growth and business improvement, Ödman brings more than 25 years of international senior management experience, including positions as COO of Ascom, Chairman of the Board of Sensys Gatso Group AB, and multiple Vice President positions within Ericsson.

Accomplishments at Ericsson include leading a project to execute a new market organisation, including a new “common core” with a solutions and professional service focus for Ericsson’s regions, affecting 50,000 employees, reporting to the CEO. Also, in his roles as VP of Ericsson Multimedia Solutions, and subsequently Ascom Wireless Solutions, he improved sales and executed 9 acquisitions.

Commenting on the assignment, CEO Stefan Albertsson said, “With the appointment of Claes Ödman, I am very confident that Addsecure Smart Transport will reach its true potential. His experience and skill set will advance the business unit through its next stage of growth. Claes’ track record of scaling companies is exactly what Addsecure needs at this stage. This will ensure our company’s future success, while expediting organic growth and new acquisitions.”

“Addsecure is an exciting and ambitious company with a strong growth focus, and I am happy to join the team and take on the transport vertical. I look forward to using my previous experience of working with digitalisation throughout my career, and of acquiring and integrating companies to drive Smart Transport and the company to even greater levels of success," said Claes Ödman.

Ödman takes over from Johan Frilund, who has decided to take on new opportunities outside of Addsecure.

“I would like to thank Johan Frilund for his contributions to Addsecure. With his commitment and drive he has taken Smart Transport to the level it is today, and I wish him the best of luck in the future,” says Stefan Albertsson.

Addsecure Smart Transport has acquired 7 companies within the last 3 years and today operates with 470 employees in 13 countries.
