New industrial 10GbE PoE managed DIN-rail Ethernet switch

As the number of advanced AI applications grows so too does the requirement for effective 10GbE network traffic flow, i.e. HD video transmission. In line with these trends, Konten Networks has launched its new industrial grade high density Din-Rail PoE Ethernet switch - the future proofed MP-1604XB, features 10GbE SFP+ uplink and is designed to optimise network projects.

Founded from the basis of 20 years networking experience, Konten Networks, designs and produces industrial networking devices for harsh environments and critical infrastructure with high quality demands for industrial network solutions.

The new MP-1604XB is equipped with 16x Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ ports, 4x 1GbE/10GbE SFP for Uplink and a compact Din-Rail with High Density PoE ports. It offers IPV6 & SNMP v1/v2c/v3 network management, and G.8032 ERPSv2 network redundancy. The Ethernet switch features graphic charts for PoE delivered status and traffic statistics.  It supports USB storage for configuration-free replacement. The MP-1604XB is designed to take in 48-57VDC redundant power input and work under a wide operating temperature range (-40 to 75°C).

The advanced software features “PoE chart status” that can easily be accessed via a user-friendly GUI for monitoring real-time voltage and wattage and record colletion. Through the “Data Collection” feature, an administrator can check and store Tx / Rx real-time throughput records per port. It also enables users to choose the time frame to see peak usage information or find an abnormal situation for prevention maintenance.

As an example, the 10G Ethernet switch could be used for network system on campus applications. There are 16 Gigabit Ethernet ports with PoE (max. 30W per port) connecting to different types of power devices, for instance dome camera, public address system, e-learning system, VoIP phone or wireless AP. The 4 uplink 10GbE SFP ports enable long distance connection to the control centre or connections to other Ethernet switches with a ring redundancy topology design and with support for G.8032 ERPS.
