Genetec CEO Pierre Racz argues that security of security is one of the biggest trends.

“The ancient way of doing security where we thought that we could have a firewall that would protect the soft interior does not work anymore because people are putting all kinds of devices inside the firewall, some of them which are not even worthy of trust”, he said.

Industry veteran and ACRE CEO Joe Grillo stresses that cloud-based solutions, wireless locks and mobile solutions are big trends.

“I think cloud-based solutions are a big trend, and we are continuing to see the trend of wireless locks growing and making a greater penetration of door openings within facilities, and also of course mobile – everything has to be interfaced by the users through a mobile device as opposed to a keyboard and computers”, he says.
