Vivotek launches new height-strip network camera

Taipei, Taiwan

Vivotek is launching a new height-strip network camera, the CC8130(HS), featuring 1 megapixel video resolution at 30 fps, a 180 degree wide-angle lens and height-strip housing design, allowing the camera to deliver clear images for reliable facial recognition with no dead angles. In addition, the plug-and-play design makes the CC8130(HS) installation both simple and rapid. Combining low-profile and high-level features, the CC8130(HS) is ideal for discreet indoor applications, such as retail, banks, restaurants, small businesses and particularly in cashier areas.

"Capturing clear facial images is one of the most critical issues in surveillance. One solution is to mount the camera at eye-level, but this increases the risk of vandalism. Vivotek, the professional solution provider, is proud to release the CC8130(HS) with discreet eye-level mounting, allowing capture of clearer facial images than ceiling-mounted cameras, even when subjects wear hats or hoods," said Tim Su, Director, Marketing Division at Vivotek. "Additionally, the CC8130(HS) offers graduated and colour-coded height measurements in both U.S. and metric units to meet the needs of users all over the world."

To dramatically reduce file sizes and conserve valuable network bandwidth, the CC8130(HS) supports the industry-standard H.264 compression technology. Combined with the ST7501 multi-lingual 32-channel recording software, users can quickly and easily set up a simple to operate IP surveillance system.
