Vivotek displays enhanced IP surveillance at Essen

Taipei, Taiwan

Vivotek will aim to bring enhanced value to its vertical surveillance solutions at Security Essen 2016, due to take place at Messe Essen fairground at the end of this month. The company will highlight its latest retail solutions, city surveillance solutions, H.265 solutions and strategic partnerships with Genetec, Seetec, and Synology.

As part of its continued commitment to the pursuit of the very highest levels of technological advancement, Vivotek will highlight 3 key benefits at the upcoming Security Essen 2016 in Germany next week:

First, they will showcase the solutions to optimise retail businesses. In this area, Vivotek will present its 3D and 2D people counting solutions, including both the SC8131 and the new CC8370-HSV. The SC8131 features a dual-lens design with Vivotek’s self-developed 3D depth technology, enabling precise tracking and a high counting accuracy of up to 98%. Also on display will be a line-up of diversified network cameras for the retail market, including the ultra-mini fixed dome camera FD8166A, the 5-megapixel mini fisheye network camera, FE8180; the full-HD discreet split-type camera system, VC8101; and the unique height-strip network camera, CC8130(HS). All the cameras are integrated seamlessly with Vivotek’s brand-new VAST 2 video management software (VMS) for medium-scale deployments. This breakthrough VMS features an all new intuitive user interface and supports auto setup, advanced search, a 2.5D visualisation emap, and easy third party integration (point-of-sale and so on). The new VAST 2 will be launched in the fourth quarter.

Secondly, robust city-surveillance protection will be a major theme on the Vivotek stand this time.  To meet the diverse challenges of city surveillance, Vivotek will showcase both H.265 outdoor-ready speed dome cameras and one zoom lens camera. The first camera is the new H.265 VAIR (vari-angle IR) speed dome camera, SD9366-EHL. Equipped with a wiper, the camera will clean its own lens when exposed to rain, snow, or dusty environments. Moreover, users can choose an additional water tank with pump to supply water for the wiper and outdoor power box to provide electricity for speed dome and water tank. The SD9366-EHL will also be available in the fourth quarter.

Recognising the demands for night time visibility, Vivotek is also introducing the new H.265 outdoor zoom lens camera, IZ9361-EH and speed dome camera, SD9364-EH. Both are equipped with Vivotek's latest VAIR (vari-angle IR) technology, 150m /250m IR illuminators, and a 20x/30x optical zoom lens, the cameras are engineered to provide effective low-light images. Further armed with an IP67/IP66, NEMA 4X- and IK10-rated housing, these cameras offer a superior level of protection for enhanced and reliable outdoor surveillance.

The 3rd attraction on the Vivotek exhibit are the solutions for ultimate bandwidth and storage saving.  Already known for effective image processing capability, Vivotek has now launched the new Smart Stream II H.265 solutions, including a lineup of multiple types of network cameras and the 32-channel network video recorder, ND9541 at Essen 2016. All new H.265 solutions are equipped with Vivotek’s Smart Stream II technology to maximize bandwidth and storage efficiency and achieve greater cost-effectiveness. By adopting Vivotek’s Smart Stream II and H.265 technology, users will benefit from reduced bandwidth and data storage demands of up to 80% more than systems employing H.264.
