Vivotek transport solutions debut at Innotrans 2016

Taipei, Taiwan

Vivotek will be demonstrating the company's latest transportation solutions at the Innotrans 2016 show, taking place from September 20 to 23 at the Berlin Exhibition Grounds. Vivotek will use the event to highlight a variety of the latest surveillance technologies focused on enabling station operators to acquire and distribute intelligence for strategic management and immediate appropriate response.

Visitors will be able to experience advanced security solutions designed especially for three scenarios, including railway and subway cars, outdoor railroad grade crossings, and station lobbies.

For the railway and subway cars sector and to enhance surveillance performance for diversified transportation applications, Vivotek is introducing a line-up of diversified mobile dome cameras and an industrial EN50155 M12 PoE switch for railway and subway cars. With built-in WDR Pro technology, the new compact mobile dome camera, MD8563-EH provides improved visibility in high-contrast lighting environments, such as at the entrances of rail or subway cars. Packed with powerful features, the camera features a full EN50155 Class Tx compliance, IK10 and IP67-rated rugged design and will withstand shocks, vibration, humidity, dust, and temperature fluctuations and maintain stable and reliable video capture during jarring vehicle movements. And the AW-IHT-0602 industrial EN50155 M12 PoE switch allows users to deploy IP surveillance in transportation applications at ease with its M12 connection design and support a wide range of operating temperature ranging from -40°C to 75°C.

Promoting grade-crossing safety is an essential aspect of the drive to reduce accidents in the outdoor railroad crossings arena. Realising this, Vivotek is introducing the new H.265 outdoor zoom lens camera, IZ9361-EH to support the monitoring of outdoor grade crossings. Equipped with 150m IR illuminators, and a 20x optical zoom lens, the IZ9361-EH provides supreme and real-time images of the flashing red lights and gates around the grade crossings. Further armed with an IP67, NEMA 4X- and IK10-rated housing, the IZ9361-EH can offer a superior level of protection from corrosion and from extreme environments. Increasing both the flexibility and stability of the IZ9361-EH, operators can opt for an outdoor-ready IP66 and IK10-rated cabinet with power supply, industrial PoE device, fibre media converter, and surge protection kit, all of which combine to offer a complete outdoor surveillance solution.

Attuned to growing demands for station security, Vivotek has also developed the three H.265 IR speed dome cameras, including SD9363-EHL, SD9364-EH, and SD9364-EHL for station lobby areas. Equipped with a 20x/30x optical zoom lens, 150/250 metres IR illuminators and Vivotek's latest VAIR (Vari-Angle IR) technology, allowing both a brighter night view and more consistent illumination. These cameras are designed with a sophisticated pan/tilt mechanism with continuous 360-degree pan and 220-degree tilt. Security staffs can thus monitor and track any object of interest in the lobby via a mouse or a joystick with ease. Also on display will be the one of a kind people counting solution, SC8131, featuring Vivotek’s 3D depth technology that empowers accurate measuring of visitor traffic in the main entrances of a station around the clock. Providing safety and security for passengers and visitors is paramount to all station operators. With Vivotek, new technology can help to secure the safety of passengers more than ever before.
