The Detektor International Award winners

The 20th Detektor International Awards prize ceremony took place at the security industry banquet last night after the first day of the Sectech exhibition in Stockholm on 19th of November 2019.

Twelve manufacturers from three continents were awarded and four of them were chosen as the overall winner in their respective product category: ID & Access Control, Alarm & Detection, Video Surveillance and IoT Security. All receivers of the Detektor International Award 2019 are presented below.

ID & Access Control

The overall winner 2019

Iclass SE RB25F from HID Global (USA)

A fingerprint reader that increases image capture performance and fingerprint matching in under a second, reducing delays. It supports Seos-technology, is designed for two-factor authentication using fingerprint and/or high frequency credentials and can read and capture fingerprints that many other devices cannot, while protecting against fake and spoof fingerprints.

THE JURY´S MOTIVATION: “With speed, accuracy and versatility HID responds to the most demanding needs and takes fingerprint readers to a new level.”

The Innovative Achievement Awards 2019 were shared between Axis A8207-VE from Axis Communications (Sweden) and Spectrefrom STid (France)

Video Surveillance

The overall winner 2019

MIC IP Ultra 7100i from Bosch Building Technologies (Germany)

The first ruggedised PTZ camera with UHD (“4K”) resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels) with built-in video analytics and machine learning, ideal for outdoor applications and tough environments. It offers intelligent tracking and object detection and can detect moving objects and classify them even when the camera pans/tilts/zooms. Generates meta data that includes GPS position of all moving objects.

THE JURY´S MOTIVATION: “This super-camera for outdoor applications and tough environments has everything it takes to be a winner.”

The Innovative Achievement Awards 2019 were shared between M73 from Mobotix (Germany) and Eagle Eye Cloud VMS from Eagle Eye Networks (USA)

IoT Security Products

The overall winner 2019

Serix from Seriline (Sweden)

A platform with an easy, single interface for managing identities and access management for all connected systems – if the end customer has standalone systems that they need to manage in their everyday work, all these can be connected to Serix. The platform has a fully integrated self-service portal where the user can apply for new access areas, change PINs themselves and manage their visitors etc.

THE JURY´S MOTIVATION: “With this commendable, effective yet simple and open solution Seriline brilliantly brings disparate access & ID requirements into one place.”

The Innovative Achievement Awards 2019 were shared between Maxpro Cloud from Honeywell (USA) and CS Vision from Consilium (Sweden)

Alarm & Detection

The overall winner 2019

Micro-Ray 100 from Cias (Italy)

Micro-ray barrier for outdoor perimeter protection with 100 metres detection range and a detection height of up to 3 metres. Provides a linear ray covering a very narrow area, but, unlike infra-red beams, are not affected by temperature, glare, solar reflections, fog and do not need frequent maintenance. It is IP ready and able to integrate with major CCTV and access control platforms and the power consumption is only 120mA per beam.

THE JURY´S MOTIVATION: “With this unique microwave system Cias brings an exceptional contribution to the perimeter protection market.”

The Innovative Achievement Awards 2019 were shared between DS-2TD1217-2/V1 from Hikvision (China) and WX Shield Series from Optex (Japan)
