Civintec offers technical service with new touch screen readers

Shenzhen, China

Civintec touch screen smart card reader recently launched alongside its innovative technical service offering at Trustech 2016 held at the beginning of December in Cannes, France.

“At Civintec we have over 10 years’ experience of development and manufacturing of smart card related products. Our company strategy to provide more than just standard products with good quality, together with detailed customisation and modification has been an ambition for a couple of years to date. The result of this ambition is the technical service concept based on Civintec’s unique technical platform that includes both hardware design and embedded software design." says Peter Bergstrom, the CEO and CTO of Civintec Europe, when highlighting the launch of the company's technical service and the new smart card reader and terminal--Crystal.

The technical service that Civintec provides can be from just a brand logo on its standard products to a unique client product design. The company can process the customer's future product all the way from idea to a manufactured product at the same time as aiming to meet the highest level of product quality and performance. The technical platform includes the electronic hardware design, embedded firmware software and SDK command library.

The Crystal readers are made to support a combination of different technologies like RF 13,56MHz, 125kHz, NFC and BLE in the same design. The ambition with the Crystal reader is to provide something new, in one version of the reader with a Touch screen display that replaces the mechanical keypad and traditional LED’s. Civintec is promoting the 'Crystal' concept of readers on the technical premise that the Crystal reader range will be available as standard products but also as customised products.

The existing and popular smart terminal, Utouch, in combination with RF. NFC, BLE and traditional interfaces as well as Wifi and 3G, is also available on Civintec's technical service platform. "It is possible to even add biometrics into the Utouch terminal as an additional option in a custom-made design.” Peter added.

All software components are independent which makes it easy to design products with different ranges of functions and features included. The technical platform supports almost all standardised chip technologies and communication interfaces. Together with additional technologies like NFC, BLE, biometrics and more, Civintec has evolved a platform that covers most customer requirements.
