The Viewonhome Shield 200 is available in three different kit forms, and takes the form of a simple and intuitive wireless home security system based on community assistance. If someone breaks into the home, then the home owner, or neighbour, or anyone other assigned person, will instantly be notified via SMS.

The system can be installed quickly and does not require a professional installer and is based on an app (IOS and Android), and interacts with a smartphone or tablet, and can be controlled by phone call, SMS or the app directly.

All system devices are wireless and work in a secure way by radio-frequency. Lithium-ion backup batteries are included, so everything continues to run in case of power failure. The system requires no subscription for a security company - and no installation fee.  

Obviously children, adults and elderly people have different levels of confidence in operating a security system, which is why there are several ways to use the system. The Viewonhome app gives full control over the system. Even when a person is away from home, they can arm/disarm the system, monitor the cameras and track when the kids come home, for example.

The wireless keypad is the familiar way of arming/disarming the system, just by entering a pincode, but the system can also be disarmed by using one of the RFID proximity tags. This is especially suitable for kids and elderly people, and each tag can be named individually.  Furthermore the system can be armed/disarmed by using a remote control, similar to that used for a car. This feature can even act as a distress beacon to alert contacts in case of sudden illness, injury or intruders.  This can also be used as a handy wireless SOS button perfect for a lanyard.
