The Hiqview HIQ-6486 is a wireless outdoor weather proof bullet IP camera that is equipped with a 1/3" CMOS sensor, and a 3.6mm @ F2.1 fixed lens.  Its images are compressed into two formats, H.264 and MJPEG, with multiple resolutions: 2688*1520 / 1920*1080 / 1280*720 / 640*360. The HIQ-6486 supports is able to generate effective quality images in  2688 x 1520 (4 megapixel) at 30fps (real-time). Plus, users can set image quality to meet different environmental conditions and available streaming bandwidth.

As it is embedded with digital wide dynamic range (D-WDR), the HIQ-6486 continues to perform well under difficult lighting conditions.  When an object is in front of a strong back light source or under dimming light conditions, the camera can reproduce clear images of the object at all times, as the D-WDR uses different exposures to lower the light contrast and therefore to reveal a clear outline and details of an object (including human faces). In addition, the  HIQ-6486 can eliminate image noise as the latest DNR technology is also built-in. Image noise can be caused by many factors, such as power interference, heat, and dim light sources, resulting in ineffective surveillance work; the DNR function not only makes images clear but also reduces video file size. 

During operation the built-in 28 IR LEDs provide a radiation of up to 20 metres, allowing the HIQ-6486 to produce clear and quality images both in day and night modes, 24/7. The rugged housing has a water-proof and dust-proof rating of IP66 meaning that this camera is suitable for all weather conditions and outdoor applications. 

The network deployment of the HIQ-6486 is simple and quick. Its built-in web server open platform provides remote users with real time video through an internet browser. As it is also equipped with wireless 802.11b/g/n technology, the HIQ-6486 ensures secure transmission with WEP, WPA-PSK, and WPA2-PSK. The built-in wireless function can rapidly integrate into a wireless network infrastructure to offer a safe and flexible option for different application environments. Hiqview provides an installation tool with the camera, that helps to quickly search for configured devices connected to the internet to minimize any inconvenience and complex network settings.
