Taipei, Taiwan

This innovative work is innovated by Prof. Calvin Lai of Nanya Institution of Technology, a allied college in NTUST Regional Industry-University Cooperation Center in Norther Taiwan.

When first time visit a place or country, you may not ready to have your phone or tablet with enough resources to get on internet. This innovation can help to overcome the transmission limitation at the situation without wifi or 2G/3G/4G connectivity.

The Visible light communication (VLC) is a data communication media, adopts LED emitting technology. The visible light emits in between of 400 and 800THz (i.e. 780 – 375 nm). In utilizing the LED emitting can effect transmission of 500Mbit/sec upto 2 Km.

The advantages of this innovation are : (1) Without aware of locations of transmitters, the receiver can accurately receive singles. (2) The mobile phone is easily to be deployed and enhance the diversity of application of visible light communications.
