Thomas Lausten on how to lead Mobotix

Stockholm, Sweden

Thomas Lausten talks about his new role of steering the ship at Mobotix

In this interview with Detektor TV Magazine, the new CEO of Mobotix, Thomas Lausten, tells how he will make the German video surveillance manufacturer take off. “What I can bring to Mobotix is a bit of Scandinavian leadership, which includes more delegation of power and authority to the great people of Mobotix all around the world”, he says.

Thomas Lausten was appointed as the new Mobotix CEO in mid June 2017. Previously he held the position of Vice President EMEA at Milestone Systems. The reason why he decided to leave Milestone for Mobotix is the potential of Mobotix.

“It is a fantastic company with some absolutely outstanding technologies. There are a lot of very clever people with a lot of great ideas, and we want to utilise that”, he says.

Thomas Lausten says a computer with a lens is a fairly good description of what Mobotix technology actually is and he thinks that the future market will be even more consolidated:

“We will see stronger players becoming stronger and we will most likely also see some players leaving the market. I also think that the cyber security focus will change the market quite significantly moving forward”, he says.
