"This autumn's Safety and Security fair will again be an impressive and diverse event for safety and security professionals. The event will be significantly more substantial due to the Real Estate Security and Workplace Welfare fairs held at the same time. In keeping with tradition, there'll also be a good offering of seminars and information flashes," says Project Manager Veli-Pekka Rouvali of Tampere Trade Fairs Ltd.
The Safety and Security fair is aimed at all companies and persons operating in various fields of safety and security. Professionals are provided with the latest information on safety and security at approximately 250 stands plus seminars and information flashes. The programme also incorporates several demonstrations. The fair's themes include new statutes on the prevention of noise and vibration, occupational safety and occupational safety card training, personal protection and protectors, citizen's safety and security and preparation against various threats. The recipient of the award for Fireman of the Year 2006 will be publicized during the fair's opening ceremony on Tuesday 5 September.
The Safety and Security fair is the most significant and extensive trade event in the Nordic countries in the field of occupational safety and rescue. The fair comprehensively covers all sectors of safety and security, from public and general safety and security to the promotion of well-being at work and accident prevention, property and real estate protection, security systems, personal safety and security and environmental protection. More than 15,000 people visited the previous fair in 2004, which had 248 exhibitors.
A new event, Real Estate Security 2006, will present an extensive range of products and services related to real estate security, surveillance, corporate security and property protection. The product groups featured cover electronic security systems, structural security, security operations and services, and property protection and the safekeeping of valuables. All fair days also offer a number of seminars and information flashes.
The fair aims to attract real estate and security professionals such as real estate and security managers, electrical design engineers and contractors, architects, building contractors and authorities. Real Estate Security 2006 is part of the international Safety and Security fair now being held for the tenth time.
"The interest shown by visitors at the Safety and Security fair towards real estate security and security systems has continued to grow each year. With this in mind, we decided to implement an event focusing on real estate security in connection with the Safety and Security fair, offering a wide range of information on the subject at stands and through seminars and information flashes. The new event has been well received. Having companies that exhibit real estate security products and services in the same area will better serve all visitors," says Project Manager Jani Maja from Tampere Trade Fairs Ltd.
The Workplace Welfare 2006 fair features the latest products and services for the development of well-being at work. The highlighted themes include mental and physical load, workplace atmosphere, interaction and harassment, violence at work and work-related stress.
"Well-being at work is an important aspect of occupational safety, and a comprehensive development of workplace welfare is emphasized more and more in companies today. The Workplace Welfare 2006 event has been well received. Stakeholders in the field have been waiting for their own event. The new fair is intended for company management, personnel management, occupational healthcare and safety officers and others with an interest in workplace welfare," explains Project Manager Veli-Pekka Rouvali from Tampere Trade Fairs Ltd.
The exhibits at Workplace Welfare 2006 include furniture, equipment and lighting ergonomics, work centre furniture, devices and equipment, work clothing, occupational safety, rehabilitation and recreational services and other products intended for the promotion of well-being at work.
