With this integration, TDV not only offers video content analytics (VCA), but also provides traditional SCADA with intelligent video surveillance (IVS).  

The workstation will decode the VCA streams from IP cameras, video servers, or the NVR and transmit the original video (YUV 4:2:0) to the DSP add-on card (iCard40) for intelligent video analysis.  After video analysis, the workstation will send the resulting metadata to the VCA gateway.

The VCA gateway collects metadata produced by VCA devices, such as intelligent IP cameras, intelligent video server (iBox), intelligent video sensors (eSensor), and a VCA workstation. And, the VCA gateway transmits the data to iSCADA/iMES and iCMS via its proprietary protocol.

Typical CMS (Central Management Software) captures streams from configured video devices to perform video monitoring and recording management. With VCA metadata and system IVS procession, it can be migrated into an advanced intelligent CMS.

Generally speaking, SCADA and MES implement traditional on-site equipment and production line monitoring. With the integration of VCA metadata and IVS function, it can become an intelligent visual SCADA/MES.
