Tavcom to launch on line training Academy at Ifsec

Bishops Waltham, Hampshire (UK)

At Ifsec next month, Tavcom will be officially launching its web based Academy, and a new Technical Services division, as well as organising on behalf of Ifsec the Tavcom Training Theatre.
Visitors to Ifsec will be among the first to see what the Tavcom Academy has to offer sales and technical professionals who are looking to progress their career within the electronic security industry.

Although best known for its award winning BTec certificated training courses, Tavcom is now also able to offer top quality tuition for anyone with a connection to the internet following the recent development of an extensive range of fully interactive ‘long-distance’ e-learning courses. The Academy, a web based subscription service, offers members a wide range of benefits, not the least of which are substantial discounts on all Tavcom e-learning courses. Subscribers also have access to Continued Professional Development (CPD) learning materials, technical tips, changes to standards and will receive regular bulletins of emerging technologies and products.

“There has never been anything like this previously available within the security industry and Tavcom is proud to take the lead in responding to the growing global demand for this revolutionary method of providing training and industry related information,” said Paul Tennent, a Director of Tavcom. “Our Academy will help subscribers achieve the maximum benefit from our e-learning courses which are aimed at people who, for a variety of reasons, are not able to attend our traditional classroom based courses, but need to refresh or add to their current levels of technical knowledge.”

The updated Tavcom logo which will also be on show at Ifsec 2013 will reflect that the company has evolved to offer much more than its highly acclaimed traditional classroom training courses. Demand for Tavcom’s technical services continues to grow with clients worldwide taking advantage of the expertise on offer through a hand-picked team of experts who have a proven track record of understanding ‘real world’ security issues. “Risk assessment, system design, product and system testing, security audits and training needs analysis are just some of the services we have provided over recent months,” said Warren Collins who heads up the Tavcom Technical Services division. “The size and type of projects vary greatly from small office buildings through to complex multi-sited integrated security solutions and we have been particularly pleased to have recently been entrusted to provide technical input for several mission-critical security projects for high profile clients.”

As in previous years, visitors to Ifsec 2013 will have the opportunity to attend a wide range of educational sessions taking place throughout the four days of the show in the Tavcom Training Theatre.
