Vivotek offers three complimentary video analytics, Smart 360 VCA on its H.265 12-megapixel fisheye cameras for security applications. Smart 360 VCA includes Crowd Detection, Intrusion Detection, and Loitering Detection.
The core technology is a Deep Learning based AI engine. It is trained to learn to reliably distinguish between the motion of people and other objects. False alarms can thus be greatly reduced as items which are not of interest can be ignored.

Powered by Vivotek’s people tracking AI engine, the FE9191 and FE9391-EV are smart-fisheye cameras with Smart 360 VCA technology. The Intrusion-Detection function is designed to protect any specific area against unauthorized entry. The Crowd-Detection function can detect and calculate how many persons occupy a given space and triggers alarms when capacity is reached in that area. Finally, the Loitering-Detection function can detect a person or people remaining too long in any selected area. Further enhancing their functionality, both cameras are embedded with Trend Micro’s anti-intrusion software to provide users with higher levels of network protection. Working together, these advanced features ensure the new fisheye cameras are both highly intelligent and robustly secure.
- Intrusion Detection
Vivotek Intrusion Detection can be used to detect humans entering or leaving a virtual area within the camera’s field of view.
Example Application Scenarios:
-- Detect when a person enters a bank vault or school after hours.
-- Detect when a person leaves via an emergency exit hallway or fire escape.
Crowd Detection
The Crowd Detection can be used to detect how many persons there are in a given region.
Example Application Scenarios:
-- Detect congestion when the number of people in a region is more than a set number and trigger an alarm.
-- Monitor a special area within which at most one person is allowed at any given time.
Loitering Detection
Vivotek Loitering Detection is used to detect a person or a group of people lingering in one area longer than a set time period.

-- Detect a person loitering at a walk-up or drive-up ATM lane.
-- Detect a person loitering in a high-theft area of a store.
