Small four-channel DVR released by BWA Technology

Munich, Germany

As the worthy successor of BWA Technology's DiREX-Pro.A30, DiREX-Pro.A40 is now available. Like its predecessor, the smart recorder is still the smallest four-channel DVR on the market, and still fully functional at a massive temperature range of -20 to +65ºC.

It is secured in a fan less, dust-proof, aluminium housing and needs no heating. Therefore this device is incredibly low on energy consumption - reduced to as low as 27 BTU. Pro.A30's tremendous operating stability was maintained even with temperature changes of 60 ºC/hour.

New is the high vibration resistance of up to 2 G (by 5-200 Hz) - and that's without shock-absorption. That is approximately triple the usual comparative values. The permissible operating altitude without pressurization at ambient temperatures up to 45 ºC was enhanced by 40% compared to ordinary HDD-DVRs.

Thanks to 3G/UMTS-capable video compression, the bigger 40 GB HDD now enables almost weeklong video recording - even with deactivated motion-control. The embedded Linux located in the flash memory not only reduces start-up time, but makes the switch-less recording system resistant to power outages. In addition to all these features, the GPS compatibility makes the new DiREX-Pro.A40 suitable for static outdoor use and also for use on the go, whether on the ground or in the air.
