Siemens protects Generali Asigurari in Bucharest

Bucharest, Romania

Siemens SRL Romania installed a SiPass access control system, integrated with a Synova fire detection system, allowing all doors to open automatically plus provide control of the building's elevators in the event of a fire, in the Bucharest head office of Generali Asigurari SA. In addition to the access control and fire detection system, Siemens SRL also installed video surveillance and Sintony intruder detection to protect the 19 storey building located in the heart of Bucharest.

The video surveillance, comprising Siemens cameras, including fixed domes, plus three DVRs from the Sistore range, monitors the main public areas, including the stairwells and elevator access points, with the Sintony intrusion detection system, featuring 360 degree motion detectors, also installed in the elevator halls and at all of the building's entrance points.

SiPass provides access control for three turnstiles at the main entrances, plus a further 78 interior doors within the building, controlling access for some 1,500 people.

The Synova fire detection system provides sensitive and reliable detection throughout the 18,000 square metre building with deception immune thermo sensors to react to slow and fast temperature changes and optical smoke detectors which offer a wide response range and an exceptional immunity to dust and dirt.

The Synova system also features individual controls for the fire dampers, elevators, windows and ventilation for exhausting smoke and monitoring of water pumps.

Generali Asigurari SA were very pleased with the installation, citing a competitive price and the speed in which the project was completed as two of the major benefits in selecting Siemens.
