Secutech 2013 expects 26000 visitors

Taipei, Taiwan

The organisers of the Secutech 2013 show are expecting to attract 560 exhibitors and more than 26,000 professional visitors, particularly from emerging markets such as ASEAN markets and Africa.
Organised by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, the 16th edition of Secutech in Taipei next April is a business platform for global security professionals to find new business opportunities as well as enhance their brand reputation.

Commenting on Secutech 2013, Mr Parson Lee, Managing Director of Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd said: "This year, a new key visual has been developed, which clearly presents what kind of products can be found at Secutech. One of the new initiatives we are introducing in November will be a smart phone application which will enable visitors to register and preview exhibitors’ products. In addition, a business matching service will arrange exclusive meetings for selected buyers to improve sourcing efficiency.

Secutech 2013 covers the security supply chain from components to finished products and solutions, including access control, fire and safety and information security. Exhibitors will be displaying surveillance, intrusion alarms, vehicle security, home and building automation, intercom and other related product areas..

For easy sourcing, the pavilions will feature different products. The focus will be on the "Access Control Pavilion", where the exhibitors will showcase products and services for biometric solutions, from RFID and smart cards to electronic locks. Within this pavilion there will be a newly added zone dedicated to parking equipment.

Secutech also offers a diverse fringe programme with events such as the Composec Conference, Secutech Excellence Award and the Global Digital Surveillance Forum (GDSF), to keep the audience up-to-date with the latest industry technologies and trends.

Secutech will be held concurrently with Composec, a significant show that displays wide range of components for the security industry. As the performance of a security device is highly dependent upon its components, Composec could be the root for success in the industry.

Located in Taiwan, Secutech is benefitting from Asia Pacific’s fast developing markets. It is forecasted that the annual security market growth rate in the region will reach USD 3 billion by 2015. It is also predicted that Asia will dominate the global CCTV market by accounting for nearly half of the market by 2013. Many of these positive market opportunities are reflected by the popularity of Secutech.

In 2012, among 532 participating suppliers, 33 percent were international exhibitors. The visitors numbered 25,510 from 97 countries and regions, representing a 7.3 percent increase over the previous edition. According to visitors surveyed at the 2012 show, 62 percent said Secutech is the right place to look for OEM / ODM partners, demonstrating that the show is able to bring the right visitors to the suppliers.
