Samsung launches discrete covert camera

Las Vegas, Nv (USA)

Samsung Techwin America recently made a debut at ISC West with its SNB-6010 covert camera, designed for discretion and providing highly advanced functions and capabilities to deliver clear 2 megapixel full HD images at 30 frames per second.
“With its compact size and powerful feature set, the new Samsung SNB-6010 is an ideal solution for surveillance museums and galleries, retail stores and ATMs, which are particularly vulnerable to theft and fraud due to their exposed nature," said Frank De Fina, Samsung's Executive Vice President, North America. “Utilising Samsung’s Wisenet III technology, the SNB-6010 delivers unrivaled image quality, highly efficient network transmission and ultimate convenience to end users."

Featuring a wide dynamic range (WDR) of 120dB, the SNB-6010 delivers clear, high-quality images in challenging or varying lighting conditions. Its defog function improves images in harsh environmental conditions such as fog and dust. Among the camera’s advanced features are intelligent video analytics, including advanced motion, tampering, virtual line, enter/exit, appear/disappear and face detection. The SNB-6010 is equipped with a Micro SDX/SDHC/SDXC slot for local recording and storage, ensuring reliable capture in the event of a network disruption.

Its WN3 chipset provides superior image quality with low bandwidth utilisation. To allow for more efficient use of bandwidth and storage requirements, the SNB-6010 provides multi-crop streaming capability, which allows users to highlight or crop areas of a scene to be transmitted at a predetermined resolution and frame rate.
