Samsung latest speed dome with unique IR focus beam

Samsung SNP-6320RH

Samsung has just recently introduced the SNP-6320RH to its latest camera portfolio and it has already been selected as a finalist for the Benchmark Innovation Awards 2015.

The SNP-6320RH full HD (1920x 1080) auto-tracking speed dome has built-in IR LEDS which illuminate objects at a distance of up to 150m by focusing the beam as the camera zooms. It is also equipped with an IR corrected lens to ensure sharp night time images even under mixed lighting conditions, such when IR LEDs are operating in low ambient light. These features ensure people, objects and even car number plates can be clearly seen in total darkness. The ability to do so is enhanced by the SNP-6320RH’s 32x optical zoom capability.

Samsung Techwin’s design engineers have packed the SNP-6320RH with a long list of additional innovative features, including auto tracking, which enables operators to monitor the movement of people or vehicles, whilst remaining hands-free to control other cameras.

“The SNP-6320RH is an excellent example of how Samsung Techwin is working closely with installers, systems integrators, users and business partners throughout Europe, in order to understand and respond to changing users’ requirements,” said Tim Biddulph, Product Manager for Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd. “As a result of this cooperation, we have provided the SNP-6320RH with a feature set which we believe meets the needs of customers who operate in challenging environments where high performance PTZ functionality is required.”

Samsung Techwin proprietary encoding technology enables the SNP-6320RH to capture images at an ultra fast frame rate of 60fps. This ensures that operators are able to view latency free, sharp and clear images of moving objects.

A lot of thought has gone into the design of the SNP-6320RH to ensure it delivers superb quality images even in the most difficult environmental conditions. It is weatherproof to IP66 as well as IK10 vandal resistant, and can withstand high temperature variations of -50°C to +55°C. It is also equipped with a defog feature which improves the clarity of images captured in poor weather conditions such as rain, smoke or fog, and Digital Image Stabilization which will negate the effects of vibration if the SNP-6320RH is installed in exposed locations.

The open platform WisenetIII DSP chipset at the heart of the ONVIF compliant SNP-6320 enables it to play a key role in providing users with a bespoke video surveillance solution.

The processing power of a WisenetIII DSP chipset enables the camera to run edge based applications, such as ANPR, video analytics, facial recognition, people counting and perimeter protection solutions, which can be downloaded in a similar way to adding apps to a smartphone. Many open platform cameras currently available can only run a single application, but the processing power of the WisenetIII DSP chipset provides customers with the option to run multiple applications at the same time.
