S. Korean market shows a steady rise

South Korea's economic recovery continued to expand slowly but steadily over the past few months as improvements in global economic conditions helped boost its exports, a state-run think tank--The Korea Development Institute (KDI)--indicated in its latest report.
The KDI report is based on previously published economic indicators, such as industrial output, exports, investment and the unemployment rate. Earlier, the KDI reported the country's exports rose 7.2 percent from a year earlier in October with its industrial output growing 3 percent on-year.

Among many Asian countries, South Korea is one of the markets that are expected to see considerable growth for the years to come driven by demands from the government, public, transportation, education and residential sectors. A prime security trade fair, Secon Expo, will be held in Seoul, South Korea in March 2014. It is the hub for global brands and technology innovations to showcase to the fast-growing market.

Sponsored by the 4 South Korean government ministries and organized by Securityworld Magazine and Boannews Daily in cooperation with 18 security-related associations, Secon Expo is recognised as the largest security exhibition in South Korea. The 2014 event is expected to present about 400 exhibitors across 800 booths and attract more than 40,000 visitors from around the world during the three-day show period.

With the active participation of global suppliers and new brands, Secon Expo, held once a year in Kintex, Suburban Seoul, South Korea, will showcase a spanning of advanced and innovative solutions for the security industry that will definitely garner local and international attention. Under one roof, Secon Expo 2014 will offer a glimpse of the new developments in the industry in the areas of video surveillance, access control, alarm monitoring, biometric recognition, information security, homeland security, integrated security and risk management. The next event will take place from March 12-14, 2014.
