Remote solar power surveillance solution

Luton, Bedfordshire (UK)

Wavesight is launching its first complete remote power surveillance solution, designed specifically for CCTV applications - fixed or mobile - in remote locations where normal utility power is not available or is too costly to install.
Utilising the latest in solar panel technology, the WaveRPS generates 72W of continuous off-grid power, which can be used to run a CCTV surveillance system. Optically corrected individual solar cells gather ambient light from all angles, even on overcast days, whereas conventional flat panels only work with direct sunlight. The unit can be mounted on all types of street furniture and works with any type or make of CCTV camera.

Steve Pittom, MD for Wavesight, commenting on the new launch said, “Following a substantial period of research and development, we are delighted to offer our highly reliable, remote solar power solution, which fully complements our world leading secure wireless network products. This power solution enables the rapid deployment of video surveillance networks without the need for the significant expense of civil works for power or communications, market feedback from our initial launch at Intersec has been phenomenal"

The system is small and lightweight, making it easily portable and quick to deploy. Custom-designed and manufactured in the UK and the USA, using military-grade components, the WaveRPS is suitable for a wide range of commercial and industrial applications, including CCTV surveillance equipment, wireless radios, radio transmitters, receivers, LED lighting, oil & gas instrumentation, SCADA and telemetry, perimeter protection and more.
