QNAP approaches Vietnamese market

Taipei, Taiwan

A professional security trade fair, SecuTech Vietnam 2009, is going to be held at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC), on September 17-19, 2009. QNAP System Inc., a Taiwan-based NVR solutions manufacturer, is keenly seeking for new markets and strategitically plan to set their feet in Vietnam from the upcoming trade show.

QNAP will be showcasing its entire lineup of VioStor NVRs at their booth of the show, which couple IP-based surveillance cameras, installed where surveillance is required, and connected to the VioStor over the network where the video is recorded on internal RAID-enabled hard drive arrays.

Linux-based video surveillance software is embedded in the VioStor NVR that provides security personnel the ability to monitor the surveillance video from any computer on the network using the VioStor Web Interface, with custom-defined parameters for each channel of recording including continuous recording, time scheduled recording, motion detection recording, and alarm recording. Recorded video is easily searchable by date/time, timeline, or event. Individual VioStor NVRs can record 1 - 40 channels of surveillance video simultaneously, and with QNAP's multi-server monitoring feature, multiple VioStor NVRs can be cascaded together for central monitoring and management of up to 120 channels of video surveillance.

The newly released version 3.1 of the VioStor firmware incorporates advanced intelligent video analytics (IVA) for missing object detection, foreign object detection, out of focus, and camera occlusion and auto-cruising powerful surveillance features. Additionally, recorded video is watermarked for security integrity.

The VioStor NVRs can send email or SMS messages to security or IT personnel when an alarm is generated, or if a component in the system is failing or has failed VioStor NVRs support high quality H.264, MxPEG, MPEG-4 and M-JPEG video recording onto the VioStor internal hard disk RAID array, with up to 8 hot-swappable drives. VioStor NVRs support over 400 camera models from 27 popular IP camera manufacturers, including AXIS, ACTi, AVTECH, Arecont Vision, Canon, Cisco, D-Link, EDIMAX, ELMO, EtroVision, GANZ, Hikvision, iPUX, IQeye, LevelOne, Linksys, MESSOA, MOBOTIX, Panasonic BB/ BL/ i-Pro, SANYO, SONY, TOA, TOSHIBA, TRENDnet, VIVOTEK, and Y-CAM.
