The MEFSEC security trade event has been held since 1999 and plays an increasingly important role in guiding the field of fire safety and security. The 2013 MEFSEC exhibition aimed to effectively promote the industry's latest technology and technology transfer and exchange of information, and attracted participants from 34 countries and regions, with 4,100 professional visitors, the show demonstrated a good impact in the region.

Qihan's debut at the exhibition involved presenting a full range of high quality network cameras and back-end storage device NVRs, back-end storage device HD SDI-DVRs, HDFDI high-definition digital video cameras, an ISS video management platform, as well as intelligent dome cameras, etc, through the help of their local Egyptian distributor.

Amongst the products on show, the flagship Qihan product was launched on to the market as the first high-definition optical fibre camera (HDFDI Camera); according to the company this product is engineered with industry-leading HD HDFDI fibre transmission technology, that can output uncompressed 2.0 megapixel full HD real-time video, fast and without delay, and with a maximum transmission distance of up to 20 Km. This HDFDI fibre optic camera with cutting-edge technology became the star of the show on the stand.
