PTZ IP cameras improve Japanese business

Tokyo, Japan

Izakaya, a chain of restaurants famous for serving Japanese style cuisine, in Tokyo Japan, has recently undergone a management modernisation plan which involved the deployment of Compro IP540 PTZ network cameras.
Each of the Izakaya chain restaurants has one IP540 PTZ camera installed on the ceiling, above the cash register. Each of the installed PTZ IP cameras is connected to the internet via a Wimax network router. These Compro IP540 PTZ cameras are used to monitor and keep track of everything going in out of the cash register.

The Compro IP540 supports 1.3-megapixel resolution, meaning it can capture clear images of the bills being presented to the cashier, and therefore help reduce the chance of cash register shortages. The cameras are set to record videos to the SD card when transaction takes place.

Furthermore, the system allows the restaurant owner to supervise remotely by viewing videos from the IP540 camera at each chain store , to keep a check on the activities of each shop and ensure that customer service is top priority; the remote video can be viewed on a desktop computer and even on the owner's smartphone whilst on the move. The system has achieved the initial criteria given by the owner which was to help his chain of restaurants to deliver higher customer satisfaction through improved service.
