Protecting national assets at Counter Terror Expo

London, UK

CNL Software was demonstrating its IPsecuritycenter PSIM solution, a key to securing critical infrastructure, national assets and corporate enterprise around the world, at the Counter Terror Expo conference in London earlier this week.
Today national infrastructure organisations face increased instances of terrorist threats to critical infrastructure including power production, fuel processing, mass transit, distribution networks, water and agriculture. The security challenge includes maintaining the safety of national assets which are essential to society and the economy, the failure or damage of which would have a devastating impact far greater than the site perimeter.

“IPsecuritycenter from CNL Software sits at the heart of some of the world’s major Critical Infrastructure Protection solutions from oil refinery operations in the Middle East producing over 10 million barrels of oil a day to a power station powering 10% of the UK national grid and from a process facility in the US supplying water to 1.5 million people to a US port authority protecting over 10,000 passengers a day”, explains James Condron, VP Sales - CNL Software. “Counter Terror Expo gives us a great opportunity to discuss PSIM benefits using real life case studies with security professionals who understand that having intelligent security systems is imperative to maintaining services in the event of a major terrorist incident or environmental disaster.”

Terrorist activities are not limited to Critical Infrastructure; corporate enterprises are also significant targets of direct terrorist attacks, which according to Counter Terror Expo “could result in major property damage, operational disruption, human casualties and long-term damage to both brand and reputation”. CNL Software is enabling many corporate organisations to use PSIM solutions to maximize emergency preparedness by integrating security systems including access control, GPS vehicle monitoring, facial and vehicle recognition and HR systems.

During the conference James Condron will be presenting a session on “PSIM: Bringing Information Management to Physical Security”. Calling upon CNL Software’s experience working with corporate enterprise, including the largest corporate PSIM deployment in the US today, his presentation will explore the need for information management within physical security, the business advantages of PSIM software and the return on investment.
