Planet debuts full-ranging fibre optical solutions at ECOC 2013

London, UK

Planet Technology has recently completed its first time participation in one of the largest optical communication events – ECOC 2013 – in London, UK from September 23rd to 25th, 2013.
To meet the market demands for the full-ranging fibre optical applications, such as telecoms, government, transportations and enterprises, Planet has integrated its networking and communications products with IP-based networking and fibre optical technology to showcase its comprehensive fibre optical solutions at this specialist event. On their stand, visitors were able to experience the products under various themed titles, such as, Telecom-grade Metropolitan Fibre Optical Networking, Industrial Fibre Optical Networking, High Power PoE Fibre Networking, and Centralised Fibre Networking Management.

Planet presented a full range of Telecom-grade Metropolitan Fibre Optical Networking solutions. They displayed the latest fibre optical networking innovations from CO to CPE equipment, including Metro 10G Fibre Managed Switches, Stackable Fiber Switches, GEPON and VDSL2 solutions, to realise FTTx and Last Mile applications with the stability and flexibility of networking .

For the series of Industrial Fibre Optical Networking equipment, such as Managed Switches, Media Converters and 802.11n Wireless APs, Planet demonstrated how this equipment works solidly under harsh environments.

To meet the long-distance data network and power sourcing requirements for terminal equipment, Planet's High Power PoE Fibre Solution is integrated with both fibre optical and IEEE 802.3af / with Power over Ethernet technology to result in IP Surveillance Equipment, Wireless Access Points, and Serial Control Equipment which can flexibly set up in wide-ranging environments, such as highways and city-to-city communications.

Planet's Media Converters feature not only support for fibre optic transmission via different interfaces such as Ethernet, Coaxial, VDSL2, video and other various interfaces, but also manage all converters centralised through intelligent media converter chassis, significantly increasing the effectiveness and efficiency of the networking management.
