Hiqview outdoor vandal proof IP dome for low temperatures

Taipei, Taiwan

Hiqview has released a new outdoor dome IP camera, the HIQ-5390, that is equipped with a heater to support operating under extreme low temperatures ranging from -30℃ ~ 50℃ (- 22℉ ~ 122℉).

The Hiqview HIQ-5390 is a low temperature full HD outdoor IR-15M vandal proof dome IP camera, which is equipped with a 1/2.7" CMOS sensor and has an all-IP architecture. The built-in open platform web server provides remote users with real time video through an internet browser.

Its sophisticated design includes a built-in heater inside to support operation in extreme environments of low to higher temperatures between -30°C~50°C (- 22℉ ~ 122℉).

The images of the HIQ-5390 can be compressed into two formats, H.264 and MJPEG. Multiple solutions are available: 1920*1080 / 1280*720/ 640*480/ 320*240/ 176*144. Under full HD resolution, the HIQ-5390 can create quality images at 30fps@1080p real-time. Users can choose the most suitable streaming format to meet different environmental conditions.

The housing of the HIQ-5390 is rated as IP66, which means it is suitable for use in wet and dusty situations, such as streets, parking lots, or public squares. The HIQ-5390 also has a vandal proof design to ensure the camera operates well under conditions where people might attempt to break or impair the camera.

The network deployment of the HIQ-5390 is simple and quick. It is provided with an installation tool, which can search for a device that is already connected to the internet. This feature alleviates the inconvenience of complex network settings.

The wide dynamic range (WDR) feature of the HIQ-5390 is effective when monitoring strong backlit or dim lighting environments. For example, if the camera faces the sun, and a man is standing in front of the camera, usually, because of the strong backlight, the man’s face would be too dark to identify. The WDR technology would use different exposures for different objects, making the light contrast much lower, and thus revealing the clear features of the man’s face.

Image noise can be caused by many factors, such as power interference, heat, and dim light sources, resulting in ineffective surveillance work. The HIQ-5390 removes image noises by applying DNR technology. It not only makes clearer images, but also reduces video file size.

When the sun goes down, it is difficult for typical outdoor cameras to create clear images. On the contrary,  the HIQ-5390, an IR camera, is capable of generating valuable pictures in dark environments. The built-in 18 pcs of 15M light source IR LEDs enable the camera to create clear images under bad lighting conditions. IR technology makes a powerful tool when identifying essential elements at night, such as people and vehicles.

PoE technology enables power and internet connection to be provided via the same cable. Therefore, not only are power outlets no longer needed, but more importantly, space is saved when locating the IP surveillance system, and the cost is reduced sharply.

The HIQ-5390 is bundled with a powerful VMS software, which supplies users with omni-bearing video management and surveillance.  The Hiqview Vision software is packaged free with the company's IP cameras, and is capable of managing up to 64 IP cameras.

This camera is made for day/night dual-purpose applications, and is suitable for monitoring low temperature open environments and important entrances, such as parking lots, open squares, streets, etc.
