New high temperature resistant cards from SAG

Taichung, Taiwan

SAG PETF cards can withstand high temperatures

SAG is unveiling the  PETF ISO Card to tackle high temperature printing processes and high temperature environmental conditions.

It is often accepted as normal that printed cards might bend slightly, although within the ISO standard, it is only allowed after personalisation by thermal transfer printing.

It would also seem sensible to never put a card inside a car under the baking sunlight - it is common sense, but it happens.  While everyone is accustomed to this, SAG want to make a difference by adding the PETF card to the shelf and bringing users a whole new experience.

The SAG PETF card combines PETF layers which provide the card with higher thermal stability and better mechanical strength. The card body and surface are also perfect for direct-to-card processes and offer almost no distortion after printing.

And as for the printing result. SAG believes that the colour effect is elevated to a higher level than that of its PVC counterpart. This is another merit, in addition to surviving the printing process without changing the shape of the card.

This means that users need never worry about leaving their PETF card on the dashboard of the car again when the sun baking hot.
