Mirasys NVR supports world's first H.264 camera line
Helsinki, Finland
Speaking at the IFSEC conference in Birmingham, Jukka Riivari, CEO of Mirasys, said, "The new generation of H.264 cameras will change the way the industry thinks about surveillance security systems. This technology allows the end user to capture and store high-resolution megapixel data, even in poor light conditions, and take advantage of the benefits at competitive prices. Mirasys NVR systems are the most user-friendly available and integrate seamlessly with a range of IP cameras, providing customers with the best value for their spend."
Mirasys NVR Pro, a single-server solution that supports up to 32 cameras, and Mirasys NVR Enterprise, which supports multiple servers, up to 5000 IP cameras and simultaneous users with enhanced features such as audio recording and backup archiving, are the latest video surveillance software solutions from Mirasys.
Arecont recently unveiled a line of 1.3, 2, 3 and 5 megapixel cameras, to be made available as both single- and dual-sensor models, at ISC West in Las Vegas. The product line will support multi-streaming capabilities for the transmission of multiple video streams at different video formats, frame rates, and resolutions. This proprietary implementation of H.264 compression technology provides fully compliant video streams up to a 25-fold reduction in data storage requirements over the MJPEG format.
Video from Arecont's H.264 megapixel cameras can be scaled to 1920 x 1080, or 1280 x 720 resolution with a 16 x 9 aspect ratio for a true High Definition format. Multiple virtual cameras can be streamed by selecting regions of interest within the image and acquiring them independently.
"Arecont is excited to have Mirasys supporting our pioneering line of cameras," said Dr. Vladimir Berezin, president, Arecont Vision. "This new generation of video compression enables users across the security industry to benefit from a combination of high resolution and bandwidth efficiency at a very competitive price and we are looking forward to increasing our support partner base for our H.264 video camera line in the near future."
