Mirasys leaves the analog age

Helsinki, Finland

To celebrate its 10-year anniversary, Mirasys provides free IP camera channels for new and existing customers.

As the security and surveillance industries prepare for their next major leap - from analog cameras to IP-based video surveillance - Mirasys has decided to advance the process by presenting free IP camera channels for all Mirasys V series customers. The promotional offer is valid for all existing and new customers; Mirasys will provide one free digital camera channel for each new or existing V series recorder with purely analog camera channels.

"Video surveillance is definitely entering the digital age - as the prices of high quality IP cameras have stabilized at economical levels, there is simply no point in building new surveillance systems based on analog technology," comments Kim Långström, sales director at Mirasys Ltd "Our promotional offer is aimed to provide new and existing customers with a chance to test IP cameras - and to find out the superiority of IP based surveillance in comparison to analog devices"

Mirasys celebrates its 10-year anniversary in June 13-15. The festivities are marked by the release of Mirasys V/N series 4.0 surveillance management platform, providing a complete refurbishing of the alarm management system with improved alarm customizability and an extensive support for third party alarm triggers and functionalities.

"We are extremely enthusiastic about the new alarm functionalities. They make the V/N series the only surveillance management software with completely customizable alarm functionalities. The whole system can be tailored to react from any imaginable trigger with practically any alarm action," comments Toni Mikkilä, technical product manager at Mirasys Ltd.
