In the Southcomm Security Media 2016 Innovation Awards the company won the Public Safety Sector, Gold Award of Excellence for the Phoenix Police Secure Tri-City Sporting Event.  Secured Cities honours the most innovative, integrated deployments in the security industry and public safety sector. The mission of these awards is to showcase the best collaborative project efforts of security solutions providers, systems integrators and their end user clients. The Milestone installations in this region are especially noteworthy for a multi-agency ability to share video through a central Fusion Center, helping to manage the huge influx of crowds to the many high-profile national sporting events held here annually.

In the Municipal Video Surveillance Sector Milestone won the Platinum Award for The City of Denver as submitted by Axis Communications. Additionally, the City of Denver also took top honours for their municipal video surveillance project, which included Axis Communications camera solutions and Milestone VMS.

Milestone also took best product prizes in various awards ceremonies around the globe for the Husky M500 Advanced NVR, Milestone Xprotect, Milestone Xprotect Corporate video surveillance software and Milestone Mobile 2016.  Additionally, for the fifth year in a row, Milestone has made the annual global A&S International Security 50 list, moving from No.29 TO No.23 in the rankings.
