Magal to Install $5.5 million Perimeter Intrusion Detection System along the Northern Border of Israel

YAHUD, Israel

Magal Security Systems, Ltd. (NASDAQ GM: MAGS; TASE: MAGS), today announced it has received an order of about US$ 5.5 million from the Israeli Ministry of Defense (MOD) for installation of a perimeter intrusion detection system along the northern border of Israel.

Most of the work will be executed before the end of 2006, with the balance to be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2007.

Securing the northern Israeli border has recently become one of the Israeli Government's most important mandates.
