Lausten leaves Milestone to become CEO at Mobotix

Thomas Lausten is beginning his new role as CEO of Mobotix on 15th June, 2017

Thomas Lausten leaves his position as the Vice President EMEA at Milestone Systems to become the new CEO of the German IP video surveillance company Mobotix.

"I have had some amazing years at Milestone Systems and think the company has a bright future, ahead. However, when I was offered to become the CEO of Mobotix I could not turn it down ," says Thomas Lausten when Securityworldmarket.com contacts him to have his comments.

Mobotix,, headquartered in Langmeil, Germany, is a developer of IP video surveillance products, mainly cameras and VMS. The company launched its first IP camera in 2000. Five years later, the company introduced its first VMS software.

In March 2016, Konica Minolta became the main owner of Mobotix by acquiring approximately 65 percent of the shares in the company. Today, Mobotix has more than around 400 employees and a turnover of almost 80 million euros. With Konica Minolta on board Mobotix has also gained a strong R&D partner.

Mobotix’ products are distributed in more than 80 countries and the company has branch offices in New York, Madrid, Paris, Tokyo and Sydney,
