Aimetis Symphony is designed to deliver an all-in-one solution for video management, video analytics, system integration and alarm management.

In response to customer needs, Aimetis is introducing new features aimed at helping organisations simplify IT through greater automation and reporting, all this in addition to many other new features and improvements.

Top new capabilities include client and server device packs which can be automatically deployed to clients by uploading a device pack to the server. This is needed when clients want to connect to multicast video.

There is also a CPU overload protection in server farms facility, where the system automatically moves cameras to other underutilised servers within the server farm. In addition the upgraded version includes enhanced user monitoring and is capable of listing users viewing any particular camera.

The Windows Active Directory-based authentication compatible with stricter Kerberos encryption schemes such as AES-256 as well as support for cross-domain authentication provides enhanced security. Additionally the new version now also includes a process to restrict concurrent logins, this can be selected as an optiont to force logoff when users login to another terminal at the same time as being logged in elsewhere on the system. Analytic Improvements include object classification, improved people counting and auto PTZ tracking. Face detection is also now on board through BETA video analytics which can be used in search mode to improve the video review process. The system now also includes 2-way audio. In addition to recording audio, operators can now talk through network cameras to communicate with people in the monitored area.

Aimetis Symphony 6.11 is available worldwide for download in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese. Customers with Aimetis Symphony 6.10 or older may require a valid maintenance agreement to upgrade their servers. Aimetis Symphony 6.11 for Aimetis E-Series physical security appliances is expected to be available in calendar Q2 2013.
