Joystick keyboard

Reading, UK

Vista has released a cost-effective keyboard with 3-axis joystick ideal for lower-end systems where the cost of a joystick keyboard would otherwise have been prohibitive, according to Vista.

Offering PTZ control of cameras, it allows for control of domes running Vista or Pelco RS485 telemetry. Simple to install with easy set-up menus, the battery operation makes it useful as an engineering set-up and test tool.

The keyboard is simply and intuitively set out and there is an in-built LCD display, making it very easy to use. Password protection ensures that only authorised personnel can use the equipment. Because the keyboard can be run by battery or a 12V DC PSU, it is ideal as an engineering set-up tool.

"The keyboard is ideal for single dome systems that don't require DVR or matrix control," says Mark Pritchard, divisional director for Vista. "It will be a very effective tool for those applications where simple dome control is required via a standard joystick keyboard."
