ISS divests security business in Finland

ISS, a global leading facility services provider, has agreed to sell its security services in Finland to the Finnish private equity firm Intera Partners.

Following the divestment, ISS Finland will focus on developing and further growing its technical and support services, catering, cleaning, Facility Management activities, and in particular its Integrated Facility Services solutions to key account customers.

The security activities of ISS Finland has 1,100 employees, and generated an annual revenue of DKK 504 million (EUR 68 million) in 2015. It is one of the leading companies in Finland’s security industry.

As part of the transaction, the parties have agreed that the new security company – which is owned by a buy-out fund managed by Intera Partners – will become the preferred partner delivering security services to ISS Finland and its customers.

ISS’ security business in the other Nordic countries is already managed through partners, which continuously invest in the development of their security business and in the implementation of the latest security technologies. ISS security activities in other markets will not be affected by this divestment.

Enterprise value of the security activities of ISS Finland is DKK 261 million (EUR 35 million). The transaction is subject to customary conditions, including approval by the Finnish competition authorities.
