Irlab redefines the IR eyeball camera

Shenzhen, China

With the improvement of infrared LED technology, Irlab has adopted high powered LEDs, popular since 2011, for its line of cameras with an IR illumination function, in conjunction, the company has also redesigned the housing structure for its IR eyeball camera to accommodate these high-powered IR LEDs together with a varifocal lens. This breakthrough has resulted in the new design of an IR eyeball camera and has been just launched by Irlab.
The IR eyeball camera has been popular in the CCTV field for more than 10 years worldwide due to the distinct advantages of good-looking appearance, 3-axis adjustment, infrared integrated infrared, easy to install, etc.

Because of the dimension limitations of traditional IR eyeball cameras, they normally inlcude only around 30-36 pcs of 5mm-diameter IR LEDs, which makes it difficult to achieve a long IR radiation range in night mode. And, most eyeball cameras in the market were also designed without good heat dissipation or water-proofing features.

Irlab's unique IR eyeball camera with varifocal lens, and built-in high-powered IR LEDs, can provide uniform luminance to its target coverage area and is able to perform much better than those with traditional 5mm-diameter IR LEDs. The IR radiation reach of the new IR eyeball camera results in a 30% greater distance coverage than those with traditional LEDs. In addition, by using an aluminum PCB board, the Irlab unique varifocal high-powered IR eyeball camera also features improved heat dissipation and an IP66 rating to provide better protection from damages caused by water and dust.
