Intersec Dubai shows confidence for growth at 2013 event

Dubai, U.A.E

The 14th edition of Intersec hosted close to 100 exhibitors in the Homeland Security & Policing section alone. According to the organisers positive feedback from this year's show suggests this section is set to grow even further for the 2013 edition and beyond.
This specialist Homeland Security and Policing section will be enhanced further for the 2013 edition with the introduction of perimeter security and surveillance products as well as an increased focus on aviation security. Avon, Eastimage, Streit Armored Cars, Proytecsa, Mezcal Security, Ulgen, Elektral, Turnstar, Proximex and many others have already confirmed their participation for Intersec 2013, which will take place in Dubai from the 15th - 17th January 2013.

The Homeland Security & Policing section at Intersec is officially supported by all departments of Dubai Police. Intersec delivers an ideal showcase for exhibitors from the homeland and policing industries to meet new clients, network with government officials and monitor the competition.

Independent visitor surveys revealed the growing interest of the region in products relating to homeland security, law enforcement and aviation security. The post show report revealed that over 17% of all Intersec 2012 visitors were interested in products and services related to Homeland Security & Policing, 12% were interested in Aviation Security, and 58% were interested in Perimeter Security and Surveillance systems.

A major growth in interest was observed in Detection Equipment (from 11% in 2011 to 42% in 2012), in Physical Security (from 8% in 2011 to 30% in 2012) and in Electronics (from 33% in 2011 to 60% in 2012). These numbers once again reconfirm the continued growth of the homeland security sector in the region and consequently the growth of the Homeland Security & Policing section at Intersec.
